Member of the Standing Committee of the 11th、12th National People's Congress and former vice president of Xi'an Jiaotong University (2004-2014); He is currently the chairman of Shaanxi Association for Science and Technology, the consultant of the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Education, the convener of the Mechanical Discipline Evaluation Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council.
Professor Jiang has engaged in a long-term research in micro-nano manufacturing, precision measurement and precision machining technology and equipment. He has made outstanding contributions in the technical fields of high-end MEMS sensors and core chips, nano national standard materials, large-diameter turning and grinding compound processing machine tools, complex surface precision and ultra precision detection and instruments, and carried out innovative researches in the basic theories related to micro and nano technology, quantum sensing technology, biological detection technology and instruments.
Prof. Jiang has won many prizes and awards, including two National Awards of Technological Innovation, two National Award of Science and Technology Progress, and eleven provincial and ministerial level awards. He is also the recipient of National Prize for Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Prize, Innovation and Pioneering and the Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation and the National Innovation Award.
